Reincarnation Research

This body of work explores the possibility that identity extends beyond a single lifetime, examining recurring patterns across time through artistic research, intuitive inquiry, and symbolic analysis. It exists as both a research practice and a metaphysical art project, engaging questions of continuity, memory, and perception.

Drawing on an evolving dataset of more than 260 case studies, the project investigates perceived correspondences between contemporary individuals and historical figures. Reincarnation functions here not as an established fact, but as a framework for inquiry through which recurring traits, roles, relationships, and life themes can be explored.

While inspired by diverse philosophical, religious, and esoteric traditions surrounding reincarnation, the project does not seek to prove or disprove any particular worldview. Instead, it approaches reincarnation as a lens through which questions of identity, continuity, memory, and creative inheritance can be explored.

The process combines intuitive practice with historical research, symbolic interpretation, karmic astrology, and pattern analysis to explore possible continuities across lives and cultures.

At its core lies the hypothesis that identity may leave traces—visible in behaviour, creative expression, relational dynamics, recurring symbolism, and sometimes even physical resemblance. As these observations accumulate, broader constellations of relationships begin to emerge.

The interactive constellation (which can be found here) forms a central element of the project, mapping relationships between historical figures while inviting visitors to explore how identities, influences, and recurring dynamics appear to cluster across history.

This work functions as an evolving system, continuously expanding through new data, connections, and interpretations. Alongside this, the projects below translate these patterns into different forms, from case studies and lectures to articles and readings, each offering a different entry point into the same underlying structure.
